San Juan Islands

Imagine yourself on a quiet island, just an hour away (via sea plane) from Seattle. A place that you can hike, enjoy the sunshine, and watch whales! This peaceful place otherwise known as San Juan Islands will certainly make you think twice about where you want to retire.

This year is the year where I do something new, each month. So I took my first sea plane, thanks to Kenmore Air, over to San Juan Islands for a day adventure. With a stacked itinerary and gorgeous weather, I made my way through the island from one end to another, submerged in the beauty of the environment.

From the lavender fields to the Alpaca farm, I spent the day disconnected from the world. While there are quite a few places to see on the island, these are my top 3 must-see during your trip to San Juan.

1. Lime Kiln Point State Park

3. English Camp

Thank you to the visitor's bureau of San Juan Islands for showing me around. I truly loved my experience there and cannot wait to go back. Thank you!
