Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach
Welcome to Alohilani, would you like to wake up to a view of the city, a view of Diamond Head, or the beautiful ocean right across the street?
Inspired by aloha chic, Alohilani is a blend of indoor and outdoor luxury located right across the beach in Waikiki. With a selection of views to choose from, you're guaranteed to wake up refreshed and inspired.
Upon stepping into the lobby, there will be two distinctive features you'll notice right away: the high ceilings and the gigantic aquarium (280,000 gallons to be exact). Aside from that, the wall art behind the check-in counter is breathtaking as well.
Check-in was a breeze thanks to Andrea and the rest of the wonderful staff members there. We were given welcome drink vouchers (the mai-tai's are delicious) and complimentary breakfast buffet tickets. Spoiler alert: the breakfast buffet can not be missed and is worth waking up early for. Trust me, you won't regret the guava pancakes and strawberry french toast.
It should be noted that there are two sets of elevators on the opposite ends of the hotel and depending on which room view you have determines which elevator you need to access. The floors are not connected so if you hop on the wrong elevator, you'll need to come back down and walk across the lobby to the right one.
Alohilani is a resort hotel, meaning there are two bars (Swell and O), a restaurant (Lychee), infinity pool, spa, and two more restaurants coming soon by Chef Morimoto. Really wish it was open when we were there because I love him, but I guess that's a good reason to come back.
We received a beachside suite during our stay with the most beautiful view of the ocean. I loved waking up each morning to watch the sunrise from the balcony. It's one of the most inspiring ways to start your day and something I always look forward to when I travel. There's just something about ocean view sunrises (insert heart eye emojis).
Aside from the view, I loved Alohilani's chic decor especially the lamps. While our bathroom in this room was a bit small, the closet certainly had enough space for all my things. Per usual, KSOLE's items had to be in the drawer (hah). The room came with a comfy robe and the softest slippers, which made relaxing during our stay even more wonderful.
With a prime location, Alohilani was nearby some hot spots like Musubi Cafe Iyasume, which has the best spam musubi's ever and the secret is that the rice is from Japan (or so we're told). It is also near The District, a nightclub we celebrated my birthday at, and Coffee or Tea?, a pretty good boba spot. In addition, late night snacks can be grabbed within the resort at the ABC store.
I couldn't have asked for a better way to have spent my birthday on the island than in this luxe resort. Thank you so much Alohilani for a memorable stay!
