Miramonte Resort and Spa
The best thing you can do for yourself is make yourself a priority, even just for a weekend. I promise you’ll feel much more focused, refreshed, and energized after a weekend away in Indian Wells at Miramonte Resort and Spa. Take a friend, a sister or your better half if you wish or just getaway on your own. It’s not only needed, but it is necessary.
It’s easy to get caught up and forget about your well being these days. It seems that the busier you are, the more successful and impressive you look. On the contrary, being busy does not mean you’re doing more. In fact, sometimes doing less is better. The focus on self-care, emotionally, mentally, and physically has been a trending topic for the last couple of years and this year being a vocal one. I’ve talked about the importance of prioritizing yourself numerous of times on my social media, but do I ever take my own damn advice? NOPE!
Sure, I’ll squeeze in a massage here and there, take a day off and just chill with friends, but to say that I have completely disconnected and not do any real work is hard. However, while this girl’s getaway to Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells wasn’t a true disconnect, it was a good attempt and made me realize how I need many more of these breaks in my life – and so do my friends!
Let me preface this by saying that the majority of the hotels I have partnered with have had some beautiful décor, interesting designs, and breathtaking layouts, but Miramonte doesn’t fall in any of those categories. The resort does require some room updates (in my opinion), it’s pretty plain Jane but the beds are comfortable. The robes weren’t the softest I’ve ever had and the view from the patio was alright. In regards to looks, Miramonte has a great pool and is huge in size, compared to other boutique hotels in Palm Springs.
However, what makes Miramonte a must for those looking for a retreat isn’t what it has, but what its purpose is. Miramonte isn’t a swanky Instagrammable place for the millennial, it is a place for those who need a breather. Those who work 9-to-5, had a hard week, and/or need to escape their crazy boss for a few days. It is a resort for parents who want a night of peaceful sleep, need to spend some “adult time” together, and for those who want to just be with the one they love without any distractions. It is for your best friends, your girlfriends, and even your guys, who want to just “disappear”. Miramonte Resort and Spa in Indian Wells is the spot to be for all the above and more. For me and Michelle, it was our getaway from anxiety, stress, un-motivational weeks that never seemed to end.
It only took a weekend for us to fully recharge, with a day at The Well Spa, which by the way, does have beautiful décor. The other day was split between the gym, the pool, and a walk around the property before retreating to our room for some room service.
There are three easy takeaways from our stay Miramonte:
Peace, privacy, and priority: We arrived in the evening to a lively lobby and as pleasant as it was to hear the music, we were pretty thankful to find that our rooms are spread out nicely throughout the property so you’re not bothered by any common area noises. Despite having 200 rooms (rough estimate), you don’t really run into too many people when you’re roaming around — or they were all just hiding in their air conditioned rooms because it can get pretty hot out here!
Ease and convenience: Just a two hour drive from LA, making it an easy road trip. I loved the attentiveness of the staff, as every time we called for room service or in need of a request, they picked up our calls right away. The resort is also located near a few stores, Starbucks, and restaurants so exploring isn’t too bad. Everything is roughly 15-20 minutes (drive) from the resort.
Customized itinerary without any pressure to do any more or less than you want. There are activities offered, such as tennis and golf, along with family friendly things to do but there is no pressure to do anything you don’t want to. Michelle and I literally chilled the whole weekend, doing some slight work on our blogs and answered a couple emails, but for the most part, we took it easy. I really can’t remember the last time I just did the bare minimum!
If these reasons aren’t enough to make you think about booking a weekend getaway, at least scroll down and look at how damn relaxed we look in our photos. You can’t fake that mood at all, hah.
Big thank you to Miramonte for hosting us for the weekend. It was certainly needed and very much appreciated.
