The Hoxton: Portland

A quick flight over to Portland for a much-needed getaway, and there was no better choice for our stay than The Hoxton. If you’re not already familiar with this beautiful hotel, as they have multiple locations around the U.S., then make sure to add this to your “must stay” list. We’ve stayed at the Downtown Los Angeles one a year ago and loved the interior there, and the Portland location did not disappoint either.

With just 119 rooms, The Hoxton is located in historic Old Town and next door is the perfect coffee shop for sneakerheads - Deadstock Coffee. But if you’re looking to just stay within the hotel, they also have a great coffee shop downstairs in their lobby, along with dining options across from the coffee shop and on the rooftop. Tope is the perfect spot to grab some bites and amazing cocktails while soaking in the views.

During our stay, we stayed cozy and warm in The Hoxton’s Roomy option, which is their biggest room available. Ours had a view and I just loved the mid-century touches. The bed was comfortable and so hard to get up from each morning. There was ample room for both me and KSOLE, and the bathroom was quite spacious too.

Check-in and check-out were a breeze, with the help of the friendly staff. While valet parking is currently not offered, there is a 24/7 parking lot just the next block over and if I remember correctly, it’s only $8 for the whole day. That is 1/3 of what LA charges, hah. The location of The Hoxton makes everything just a 15-20 minute drive away. You’re right next to downtown, where some great food spots are (our favorite was Nimble).

The Hoxton is one of those brands that you know what you’re going to get, in terms of expectations, and so I always recommend them to friends. We hope to eventually make our way over to a few more locations such as the Austin one, which looks dreamy!
