My 3 Favorite Cafés in Ho Chi Minh

Vietnamese coffee, you either love it or hate it, depending on if you think it's too strong. I had my first sip at age 8 and have never looked back. However, I don't need coffee to "survive" as I'm pretty much immune to caffeine at this point. Instead, I consider my morning cup, my mid-day coffee breaks, and after dinner lattes a way to relax and unwind. The smell of coffee just makes me happier, which is probably why my boyfriend always asks if I want coffee when I'm being a bitch (hah).

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a Tourist Trap

If you searched "things to do in Bangkok", the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market will be listed as one of the top 10 activities. After all, it's a tourist trap for a reason.

We spontaneously decided to take a trip outside of the city to visit the market on a Saturday morning, and by morning, I mean 7:30AM. Traffic starts after 10AM, according to the locals, and it's about a two hour drive, so 7-7:30AM (latest 8AM) is suggested.

5 Things You Shouldn't Do Before Traveling Abroad

This is going to be my longest flight to date and the first time I'm visiting Asia. I'm excited, nervous, and paranoid at the same time, although the paranoia only started after my parents kept telling me stories about people getting kidnapped and/or getting really sick from the food they've eaten while in Asia. Anyone else's parents like to scare the shit out of you before you travel?

How I Balance Work When Traveling

If there's one thing I believe I am good at, it is balancing productivity with activities when I'm on vacation. Yeah, it's the one time I'm supposed to relax but let's be real here, when you're the CEO of your own business, you really don't have much of a choice. That is, until you grow into an empire with several employees and a trusted manager to watch over the company when you're gone.

Why Creatives Should Use PeerSpace

For some of us, the lighting in our apartment isn't great or the space just isn't big enough. The interior may not match the mood or vibe we want for the campaign we're working on and sometimes, we just need a place to knock a couple of looks all at once.

If you're a brand, especially lifestyle or fashion, PeerSpace makes it a cinch to plan out your lookbooks and campaigns. Knock it all out in one day with PeerSpace.

Hotel Solamar

Located just a few blocks from Hotel Palomar, is Hotel Solamar, another Kimpton hotel and while the two are similar in name, you can immediately tell the difference upon stepping inside.

I will have to admit that Solamar needs some interior updating within the rooms, however the lobby area is beautiful and the staff is quite welcoming.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month: How You Can Help

Growing up, I've dealt with a lot of bullying and depression. Many of my friends also dealt with suicide, I know people who have tried to commit it, and I know of a few people who committed. I, myself, have contemplated suicide many times and have dealt with depression on and off. There isn't a real way to explain what you go through, what you're thinking at the time, but I remember the pain you feel. You zone out, nothing around you matters anymore, and you feel empty inside. I remember driving endlessly down PCH with my phone off, driving with no real direction and thinking, "what if I just slammed into a wall or drove off the side?

How I Got Rid of my Cystic Acne with DMH Aesthetics

I woke up one morning, walked into the bathroom and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I looked myself dead in the eyes and started crying. I grazed my right hand across my cheek, feeling the bumps underneath my skin, before moving my hand across my chin. Nothing but bumps. My smooth skin was no where to be found and in its place was redness, irritation, acne that had slowly taken over my face. I couldn't recognize myself anymore and the only thing I could rely on was the abusive amount of foundation to partially cover up this ugliness. I woke up every morning for the next three months, utterly depressed and in fear that this was permanent.

Hotel Palomar San Diego

Hidden behind the big wooden door is the entrance to Hotel Palomar in downtown San Diego. While it is within walking distance to a few favorited spots of the locals, it can be a bit deceiving to locate as it's wedged in the middle of the block. Make sure to look for the wooden door and the friendly valet guys in front so you don't miss it. (Note: valet is a 3rd party service and has a texting option to retrieve your car).

6 Skincare Products That'll Change Your Skin

All of these products above replaced all my prior beauty go-to's from Tarte to Nars. I didn't realize that the things I was using before was making my skin worse, attributing to the problem and not resolving it. As soon as I threw out all the other items and started using just these 6 items, my skin started getting better. Of course, in addition to the resurfx treatments. The key to clear skin is to truly watch what you're putting on, along with what you're putting into your body as well but that's for another time.
