Ojai is located about 83 miles from LA, roughly an hour and half drive. It’s an easy drive and from my place (in San Gabriel), the 210 is the freeway you take most of the way, which allows you to avoid a good amount of traffic. I never really shared my day and night skincare routine, which takes a mere 5-minutes. I tailored the routine to my pure laziness and the fact that I’m usually traveling, so a quick 5-minute routine is perfect for on the plane, in the hotel, and when I’m running late or am exhausted and just want to go straight to bed. Seriously, it takes me longer to fill in my brows every morning, hah.

With villa rentals accommodating up to a group of 4 adults or 4 adults and 2 children, these resort residences were built to fully equip you with all your needs for a stay. Better than an Air B&B, as you don’t have to clean or cook if you don’t please, since room service is a call away and the Seasons restaurant is located on-site. With a gym and spa located on the property as well, in addition to a beautiful heated pool and kids pool, golf-course, and plenty of activities the concierge can easily arrange for you, there is no doubt that there is plenty to do for everyone.

How many times have you told someone that something else was basically more important than them? Guilty of this, as I have rescheduled things plenty of time in hopes that this last minute opportunity was going to be worth it. Unfortunately, most of the time, it turns out to be a waste of time.

The Constellation Pop-Up was in collaboration with Three Three Five’s Chef Chris Mangless, who is a private chef to the stars and known for memorable pop-up experiences. Together with Hotel Californian, the weekend provided a list of events from a mixology class to a guest chef and winemaker dinner, along with a VIP concert experience.

Fast forward to 2019 and my dream comes true, as I find a local ranch that offers horse rentals for film and shoots. You can imagine the slack I got once I told people that I was going to do this type of shoot. Comments came left and right from people calling me “extra”, that I was “doing too much”, and that it wasn’t even a “milestone birthday”. Obviously I started feeling embarrassed and even thought about canceling the shoot, I mean, was it really necessary?

On January 19th, I celebrated my 31st birthday with my closest friends in Downtown LA. Despite what many may think, turning 30 is not scary. In fact, I was overjoyed at turning 30 and I know it may sound weird, but I felt a new energy settle into my life this past year. I didn’t care about what people thought as much, I wasn’t tolerating any bullshit anymore, and through a handful of life lessons, I had a better realization of who I am and what I want my future to look like. As they say, “30 is the new 20”, and I truly believe that my life has just started.

KSOLE and I ended 2018 with a trip to Big Bear, just three days in the area was enough for us. While it’s a great destination for those who love to ski and snowboard, it is also a nice and relaxing getaway from the city for couples, friends, and family who don’t like snow activities. With a selection of restaurants, a handful of coffee shops, and some interesting boutiques to shop through, Big Bear certainly is a place for everyone.
