Luxury by the beach...

Just miles away from the chaos of Downtown LA is the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. A historical five-star hotel and one of the hippest hangout spots in Santa Monica.

Situated on Wilshire Boulevard, this oceanfront property features manicured grounds, beautiful interior design, and one of the most popular restaurants to dine at, FIG. Not to mention one of the most favorited places to party on the weekends, the Bungalow. Trust me when I say that the line gets long really fast on any given Saturday or Sunday. I opted out of the partying for our stay and chose a more relaxed itinerary for the weekend featuring poolside tanning, beach hangs, and breakfast in the room on our private patio.

Bungalow 23

The hotel does have standard rooms, however I specifically chose to stay at the Fairmont Miramar for their cute bungalows. With seven options to select from, including two level bungalows, it'll be quite hard to pick just one. We were situated in the signature bungalow located in the lush Miramar gardens, right across from the pool. I loved how private the bungalow felt, it was as if we were in our own little world - with room service and housekeeping options, ha.

FIG

After settling in, we headed to dinner at FIG and were treated to a spectacular array of dishes from fresh scallops to mouthwatering pasta. We enjoyed the ambience, great service, and decor in addition to the food. We ended with dessert, in which I had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with a cup of coffee. KSOLE had a beautifully decorated slice of matcha cake topped with ice cream. We left FIG in pure happiness. The only regret I had was not having the time to experience brunch there. Guess that means I need to come back soon!

Glam & Go

The next day consisted of shooting campaigns, therefore I made a stop at Glam & Go, located in the lobby level of the Fairmont Miramar.

Glam & Go is similar to most blow dry bars, offering a full wash service and styling options. The difference between them and others, however, is that Glam & Go also offers an express 15-minute service for those who need to get in and out. This works best for those who need a refresh during lunch or are on their way to an event, meeting, etc. I love this option, as I usually don't have the full 60-minutes or so to get my hair done, and I can wash my own hair beforehand to save time and money.

I decided to go with loose beach waves and had an amazing experience with the stylists there. My hair style even lasted a full two-days and didn't feel heavy from products. I also am a big fan of Redken, which is what the salon uses. The only caveat is that this is the only Glam & Go location in California. I really wish they were closer to me so that I could invest in a full membership.

The Bungalow

As I mentioned earlier, we didn't partake in the partying but we did get to see The Bungalow on a private tour. This is what The Bungalow looks like - without the hundreds of people.

I absolutely love the vibe, the decor, and can see why everyone loves coming here. Huge thank you to the Fairmont for letting us get in during off hours!

Overall, the Fairmont Miramar lives up to expectations when it comes to class and comfort. I absolutely recommend it for all ages, as the property is suitable for family, couples, and friends. Also, it's in such a prime location with the shopping center a few blocks down.

Thank you Fairmont for the impeccable hospitality!
