Celebrated my fiance’s sister over the weekend with a Cabo-inspired bridal shower, hosted in the backyard of a beautiful Los Angeles home. From the tablescape to the landscape, this tropical bridal shower was filled with good vibes, unlimited tacos and mimosas, and the most delicious dessert table. Best of all, this event was all done by our friends!

With most stays, I always go off the vibe above everything else, and when I stepped through the bright yellow doors leading into the front porch, I felt a huge sense of calmness. I’ve seen all the photos of the front porch on social media and didn’t expect to actually be impressed still. You know how you’ve seen the Effiel Tower all over the Internet but then when you stand in front of it, you still can’t get over how beautiful it really is? Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt. It is even more gorgeous in person than in photos. But that’s just the beginning.

If you’re familiar with the Bungalow, drive a few minutes past it and you’ll find yourself at Oceana. You won’t find any loud parties or obnoxious drunks here. Nope, this luxurious boutique hotel is suited for those who really want to get away from the craziness of Santa Monica and are seeking a relaxing stay.

Located right in Beverly Hills (on Beverly Drive) is a place where you can leave all your worries behind for at least two-hours. This Japanese Spa is the perfect place to getaway from the crazy traffic, hustle and bustle of LA, and your crazy boss. It really is a haven that everyone needs to experience at least once.

Situated across from The Grove, Farmer’s Daughter is a boutique hotel offering a unique experience. With daily whiskey tasting hour, an on-site restaurant with amazing food, and cozy quarters to hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Melrose, it is a perfect getaway for couples and friends.

All the things you could ever need for the perfect getaway can be found at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. However, I have to warn you that once you check-in, you may never want to check-out.

KSOLE and I attended the 32nd Annual Wine Festival in Ojai on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on June 10th. While the festival was just four hours, it was enough to get you in the best mood for the remainder of your evening, and my tummy was quite happy by the end of it all.

Had a long day at the office? Exhausted from working on back to back on projects, been on trips for so long that you come back completely burnt out? Need a day just to yourself and your significant other? Sure, you can go to dinner and/or head to the beach for some fun in the sun, but if you're really looking for the best way to unwind, I suggest spending the day at the Montage in Beverly Hills.

Situated on Wilshire Boulevard, this oceanfront property features manicured grounds, beautiful interior design, and one of the most popular restaurants to dine at, FIG. Not to mention one of the most favorited places to party on the weekends, the Bungalow. Trust me when I say that the line gets long really fast on any given Saturday or Sunday. I opted out of the partying for our stay and chose a more relaxed itinerary for the weekend featuring poolside tanning, beach hangs, and breakfast in the room on our private patio. 

When it comes to traveling, the hardest part isn’t packing, as I’ve become quite the professional in that aspect. It isn’t planning the itinerary or even figuring out the exchange rate. It is the dreadful drive to and from LAX, and it is during those drives that I wished I lived closer to LA. Fortunately, my wish came true with our latest trip and it gave me more than I asked for, including a futuristic butler name Hannah.

Drive right up to the valet and allow them to open the door to your next getaway. The staff's friendly smiles and attentiveness will make you feel warm and welcomed as soon as you step onto the property. 

The distinctive door leading into the hotel will leave you in awe and worry that you actually open it incorrectly, or maybe that's just me. Just a few steps in and you'll reach the check-in counter, where a seamless process will occur and the next thing you know, you're in your room.

Extend the night out or start it off with a French restaurant in Los Angeles, that's located right by the Music Center. Kendall's Brasserie is a gem that I just discovered and fell in love with, from the lively bartending staff to the high quality, consistent service given throughout the meal. It is my new recommended date night spot for those looking for a place that has excellent Instagrammable worthy entrees that is full of flavor.
