Andaz Scottsdale

If you’re looking for a resort that’ll actually allow you to rest and relax, the Andaz in Scottsdale is just that.

Just 20 minutes from the airport, the Andaz Scottsdale features 201 guest rooms with 8 styles to choose from. With gorgeous modern interior decor within the rooms and a stylish lobby featuring local artist's designs, you'll easily fall in love with the Andaz.

Upon pulling into the roundabout, the first thing you'll notice is the classic Cadillac parked right outside, available for rides and pictures upon request. We were driven to dinner in that car and let me tell you, I’ve never seen so many people stare at a car like that! Certainly worth riding in at least once during your stay.

Now typically, the check-in process can take 10-15 minutes depending on the line, right? The Andaz's unconventional lobby/registration area is a refreshing treat as the staff is ready to serve you with iPads and a smile. With just a few swipes, you're ready to go! Also, I adore how attentive the staff is, they don’t miss greeting a single guest and there is always someone there to help you. Now that is what I call a great customer service experience.

The Andaz is not your typical resort, especially when it comes to their rooms. Each guest room is a called a bungalow, offering you a sense of privacy on the resort, and if you get the Saarinen bungalow like I did, you get a front patio and a back patio. Featuring a king bed and an oversized dual-fixture shower, and 485 sq ft of space, you'll never want to leave your room - and I barely did!

Aside from the bungalows, we were given a tour of the Albers House, which is great for bachelorette parties and family getaways. Two king bedrooms, spacious outdoor patio with a fire pit, and separate living and dining areas makes it the perfect getaway house.

If you are looking to relax on the property, away from the pool and somewhere more private, the spa is a must. I had the most relaxing massage there and their robes are extra comfy. There is also an outdoor pool dedicated to the spa and their lounge area are filled with refreshments with an offer of champagne.

After the spa, head over to the restaurant on site and grab some sliders. They're mouthwatering and flavorful, perfect for an afternoon bite and paired nicely with any of their cocktails.

Outside of the resort is one thing that I've always wanted to do. Despite being afraid of heights, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride. Hot Air Expeditions is a hot air balloon tour agency that's been around for 27 years, well experience and completely trustworthy. I've had scheduled hot air ballon rides in the last 2 years, only to have them canceled due to weather conditions, so the fact that this one actually happened was amazing.

The view from 5,000 feet up is unbelievable. It's not scary at all and you don't feel a thing. The weather was perfect that morning, our landing was a little rocky but nothing that'll scare me away from another ride in the future. So glad I was able to cross this off my bucket list!

If you're heading to Scottsdale anytime soon, I suggest looking into staying at the Andaz. I had the best time and loved the bungalow styled rooms. Not to mention that the property overall is beautifully decorated and made for the perfect weekend getaway.

Thank you to the Andaz for hosting us!
