Our Simple + Neutral Baby Shower
Our simple and neutral baby shower was inspired by a few Pinterest ideas and the natural lighting of the venue we booked. We held our baby shower at our friend’s beautiful event space in Los Angeles. The Revery LA is stunning and where we wanted to host our wedding reception a few years ago, but that did not happen. However, I believe in divine timing; this space for our baby shower (150 guests) was perfect. The versatility of the space itself allowed us to play around with different layouts and there is an outside area that you can also rent out. By the way, even with 150 guests, we only used half the venue size so yes, this space can accommodate a lot more than most LA venues can. Since we loved how the space already looked and felt, we kept the decor to a minimum with just small flower vases on long tables, dressed in white tablecloths. We rented tables and chairs from the venue and brought extra tables for the food and our vendor, Linked by Linda (yes, we had a permanent jewelry vendor at our baby shower and almost everyone purchased a piece since a percentage of the funds went to Baby Sole’s piggy bank).
Since we were a month and a few weeks from the due date, I decided to keep the baby shower to just 3 hours which was more than enough time for photos, games, and lunch. It was the right amount of time considering it took an hour and a half to set up and another hour to clean up afterwards. For food we had a local Hawaiian restaurant catered and for the desserts, we had cake pops, chocolate-covered Oreos, and a cake. The main colors for the baby shower were neutrals, white, and green so the cake and desserts were dipped in these colors. For party favors, we offered little teddy bear keychains or a gold feeding bottle opener (both from Amazon). We created our photo moment with curtains from Amazon and my husband’s photo stands (he’s a professional photographer so we had stands already). I draped a couple extra pieces of curtains on the floor and all the floral arrangements & decor were done by our friends, Jeromie & Jaymie. Needless to say, we had the best time and felt all the love from our community. All details for the shower are listed below!
