Our Renter-Friendly Closet Refresh
Anyone else in need of more space? We were, and after trying to work with our bedroom closet for months, we finally gave up and caved into the idea of a custom closet. 5 Ways to Freshen Up Your Bathroom
Our bathroom was my least favorite place when we first moved in. It has outdated floor tiles, is super narrow, and the towel hangers were boring and basic. After making a few renter-friendly changes, our bathroom is now the oasis that we adore and our guests always compliment us on. Sharing our 5 ways to freshen up any bathroom.
Our Zen-Inspired Bedroom Reveal
When I think of zen, I think of being grounded and calm, so to achieve this feeling we sold all our previous furniture and started brand new. From the floating bed to the nightstands, to the low profile dresser and the DIY piece over our bed, every item in our bedroom now has intention, purpose, and provides a sense of peace. Welcome to our zen-inspired bedroom.
Our Ikea Desk Hack - A DIY Desk for Two
Finding the right desk is like trying to find the perfect shade of beige. There are so many options and it ultimately comes down to what your personal preference is. So after six desks (in the last two years), I finally figured out that the desk of my dreams does not exist — within my budget. Instead of settling for just anything that fits into our home office, I opted to build it instead with Ikea pieces. Anyone else spending more time cleaning and organizing their home lately? I don’t know what it is, but an organized home makes me so happy. Throughout the process, I found myself needing an organization system of some sort. I did some research, compared different websites, and tested out everything I got to ensure that the quality was worth the price.
My Favorite Scents for Each Room
Scents can wake you up, inspire you, make you sleepy, or ease your nerves. With so many of them, it can be overwhelming to figure out which one works best for you. My preference in scents has certainly changed throughout the years and what I love now will probably change in a year or so too. However, I figure I share what my favorites are now, in case anyone is looking to refresh their scents during this Springtime quarantine.
His & Her's Bedroom Style: Chicago vs. LA
While the tones have changed, the brand remains the same — my love for Parachute sheets will never die. The best part about this little refresh was that I got to share the love for this new Terracota color that Parachute introduced with my dear friend, Wesley Taylor.
My Feng Shui Infused Apartment Makeover
As you may know from Instagram, I have a very tiny space in LA but, I love my cozy home and I’ve made the most out of it with decor, storage strategy and most recently implementing Feng Shui. 6 Tips for Refreshing Your Small Entryway
The first impression most people make about your place begins with your entryway. For my studio apartment, it is literally the first thing you see when you open the door, so I have to make sure it sets the tone and vibe for the remainder of my apartment.
